Fabletics is on track to significantly enhance its global presence, aiming to triple its international footprint by opening 45 new stores over the coming year and entering new foreign markets, as reported in a recent announcement. The company’s plans are part of a broader strategy following its achievement of over $1 billion in net revenue.
Expansion Plans
The athleticwear brand outlined its strategy in a Wednesday press release, highlighting plans to establish up to 20 new outlets across various countries within the next 12 months. Throughout 2026 and 2027, Fabletics is looking to make its mark in new regions such as India, the United Arab Emirates, Colombia, Peru, and across Central America. Additionally, Fabletics plans to strengthen its presence in its domestic market with the opening of 25 further stores across the United States within the next year.
Boosting Retail Operations
With its headquarters in El Segundo, California, the digitally native brand has witnessed three years of continuous double-digit same-store sales growth. This physical expansion is inspired by the success it has experienced with its existing U.S. retail model. CEO Adam Goldenberg noted that retail is becoming an increasingly vital component in driving the company’s growth. Fabletics currently serves markets through online platforms in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, alongside operating more than 135 global retail stores.
Strategic Revenue Goals
Fabletics, alongside its physical expansion, plans to bolster its financial performance by doubling net revenue and quadrupling EBITDA within five years. The brand’s current expansion strategy is crafted to enhance its burgeoning international e-commerce and wholesale sectors.
President Meera Bhatia emphasized a disciplined approach to scaling in new markets, ensuring a consistent brand experience and customizing initiatives according to regional demands while maintaining the core of the Fabletics brand identity.
Product Line Diversification
This expansion is accompanied by Fabletics’ recent ventures into diverse product categories. Earlier this year, the company collaborated with denim specialist Benjamin Talley Smith to introduce its inaugural denim range, which features a variety of gender-inclusive items. Founded in 2013, Fabletics has also diversified into other sectors, such as medical scrubs in 2023 and casualwear in 2022, aligning with a larger trend observed among athleisure brands like Vuori, Alo Yoga, Lululemon, and Outdoor Voices.
