Cheval adapts to Dubai’s demand slump with long-stay guests

Cheval Collection, a UK-based luxury hospitality company, has ambitious plans to significantly expand its global presence, with a particular focus on the Middle East. Daniel Johansson, Cheval’s director of development and acquisitions, revealed these plans as the company aims to double its portfolio in the coming years.

Cheval’s Middle East Expansion

Cheval Collection currently boasts 16 projects located in the UK and the Middle East. The company’s expansion into the Middle Eastern market began with the introduction of Cheval Maison – The Palm Dubai and Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai. Both of these establishments are serviced apartments, offering hotel-style services such as housekeeping and front desk, while featuring self-contained kitchens and living spaces. These units cater primarily to guests looking for medium- to long-term stays.

Branded Residences Venture

In April, Cheval ventured into the branded residences sector with the Cheval Residences Dubai Islands project. This initiative marks a departure from their traditional serviced apartment model as these units are sold to individual owners. These owners have the option to participate in a rental programme. The completion of this project is anticipated for 2029.
