Flyadeal, a budget airline operated by Saudi Arabia’s national carrier Saudia, is progressing by integrating connecting flights into its original point-to-point flight network, as announced by Acting CEO Sanjiv Kapoor. This shift, signifying a broader strategy, is expected to occur in the coming weeks and will offer travellers seamless routes with both origin and destination fares.
The strategic updates come as Flyadeal anticipates fleet expansion. The airline is set to enhance its capabilities with single-aisle Airbus A321neo aircraft arriving in the latter half of the next year and wider A330neo models in the final quarter of 2027. These acquisitions are aimed at supporting Flyadeal’s new service strategy and overall growth potential.
Across the airline sector, delays in aircraft deliveries have posed significant challenges to growth plans, with Air India and the newly conceived Saudi carrier Riyadh Air both facing setbacks due to supply chain issues. Despite these industry-wide hurdles, Flyadeal’s new plans highlight its ambitions to expand and adapt within the evolving aviation landscape.
