A new leak of potential Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay footage has surfaced online, once again attributed to the group known as CyberLeek. This comes after another leak from the same group earlier in the day, suggesting a coordinated effort.
Insight into GTA 6 Gameplay and Characters
The leaked footage showcases one of the game’s co-protagonists, Jason, engaging in daring acts throughout the iconic setting of Vice City. Notable scenes include Jason driving a muscle car aggressively, clashing with warehouse security, and deploying a taser against the authorities. The video highlights immersive game mechanics, such as executing slow-motion combat, shattering car windows, and key duplication abilities.
The gameplay further transitions to a scene where Jason commandeers a large lorry, before the action cuts to a serene sequence on a small fishing boat. Here, Jason is seen enjoying a beer in the sunshine with a companion. This portrayal of various game aspects hints at the expansive nature of GTA 6, although it’s unclear how recent this footage is or whether it reflects the final product.
Motives Behind the Leaks
CyberLeek claims to be leveraging the leaks to compel Rockstar to release GTA 6 on disc, yet so far, Rockstar has neither issued a public statement nor responded to requests for comment. However, efforts to remove the footage from hosting sites suggest they are acting to contain the leaks. CyberLeek’s social media indicates that additional leaks, ranging from two to four, are anticipated shortly.
Beyond exerting pressure on Rockstar, CyberLeek has also been encouraging viewers to purchase cryptocurrency, a move that has attracted criticism. The consumer rights organisation, Stop Killing Games, has warned against funding CyberLeek’s activities, urging people not to provide financial support under any circumstances.
Rockstar’s Upcoming Releases and Events
These leaks emerge just days ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6‘s official launch date on 19th November. Notably, the game will have a Netflix ‘extended look’ premiere, subsequently available on YouTube later the same day for broader public viewing.
