Rockstar Games launches GTA Online RP server before GTA 6

Rockstar Games is advancing its engagement with the GTA Online roleplaying community with the introduction of its official roleplaying server, nopixel 5. The server, developed in collaboration with the modding team behind FiveM, is set to enter a closed beta phase beginning 8 September.

Partnership Commitment to Roleplay

Over three years after acquiring the modding technology and team behind FiveM, Rockstar has officially announced the creation of nopixel 5 on its blog. This marks a significant move by the studio to support the roleplaying community, particularly the previously unofficial group known as nopixel, which has been instrumental in evolving GTA Online roleplay through immersive experiences and custom modifications.

Closed Beta Details and Accessibility

The closed beta, launching next week, will be accessible only to a select group of content creators and prominent roleplayers within the GTA Online community. However, the general public can still engage by watching live streams showcasing the beta. Players and viewers can expect to see familiar characters returning and new personalities debuting on this platform.

Expansive Roleplay Opportunities

Rockstar outlines their vision for GTA roleplay as a transformative multiplayer experience, allowing players to inhabit unique characters within Los Santos and create personal narratives. This dynamic environment ranges from law-abiding characters to those chasing criminal ventures, all within a shared universe where each interaction influences the community’s landscape.

Nopixel 5 Enhancements

The latest version, nopixel 5, introduces several new features, including an overhauled character creation system, new landmarks to explore, upgraded visuals, and more interactive pedestrians. These improvements aim to enhance the immersive experience for roleplayers. Additionally, nopixel 5 will be integrated into Rockstar’s launcher, simplifying access by removing the need for third-party tools when it becomes open to the wider public.
