JMGO’s projector is ideal for gaming and sports fans

JMGO Introduces High-Brightness Projector Optimised for Gaming

JMGO has expanded the availability of its Iris Ultra Max projector, an all-in-one Google TV model, beyond the Chinese market. Engineered with a dual-iris system, the device delivers a native contrast ratio of 10,000:1. This innovation, as explained by JMGO, utilises two physical apertures positioned at different points along the optical path to significantly enhance contrast by managing light scattering and brightness more effectively than traditional single iris designs. The projector also boasts a triple-laser light engine capable of producing 6,500 ISO lumens, offering an exceptionally bright image.

Noteworthy Upgrades for Sports and Gaming

At the forefront of technological advancement, the Iris Ultra Max was unveiled after its predecessor showcased a then-groundbreaking 6,000-lumen capability at last year’s IFA. This newer model, tailored for dynamic sports and gaming environments, supports 4K resolution at 120Hz, providing a smooth viewing experience for fast-paced content. Despite its advancements, potential users are advised to wait for reviews as previous JMGO models like the N3 Ultimate exhibited issues such as colour distortion at maximum brightness.

Advanced Features for Enhanced User Experience

This latest projector is equipped with a motorised pan-and-tilt gimbal, facilitating flexible control akin to that of a Wiimote. The device also offers an impressive optical zoom of 0.88–1.7:1 and a lens shift of V±130% and H±53%, ensuring versatile image placement without compromising image quality. Furthermore, JMGO has integrated Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) to optimise the projector for gaming, reducing latency and screen tearing issues. The inclusion of Dolby Vision HDR further complements its gaming capabilities, supporting 4K resolution at 120Hz.

Available for preorder starting today, the Iris Ultra Max will eventually retail at $3,499. Early purchasers can avail of a discounted price of $2,999, and shipping is set to commence on October 19th.
