Two Point Museum to feature Theme Park-inspired DLC

Two Point Studios is set to expand its popular game, Two Point Museum, with the release of its new “Rides & Relics” DLC on 8th October for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. The latest content nods to the studio’s foundational ties with Bullfrog Productions and its classic 1994 game, Theme Park, by incorporating elements reminiscent of theme parks and funfairs into the museum simulation experience.

A Nostalgic Expansion

The “Rides & Relics” DLC offers players a chance to integrate funfair-themed attractions into their virtual museums. Venture through the new Gearbox Fairground expedition map to discover blueprints and benefits that unlock over 17 different exhibits. These include a variety of interactive features like antique amusement rides and stalls, with attractions such as a pirate ship, haunted house, and cheese flume. Additionally, for the first time, players can construct their own mini-coasters, personalizing each ride with adjustable height, tilt, and camber, as well as selecting from five distinct coaster themes.

New Locations and Features

Along with theme park-centric attractions, the DLC introduces Riquetti Gardens, a fresh museum setting featuring a new five-star campaign. Players can also expect new merchandise for gift shops, a series of themed decorations, and functional items styled in keeping with a theme park aesthetic. Moreover, to enhance visitor engagement, ten unique mascot outfits are available, offering additional ways to bolster visitor satisfaction within the attractions.

Pricing and Availability

Rides & Relics is priced at £9.99 and marks another exciting development for Two Point Studios, whose founders, Mark Webley and Gary Carr, have a history with Bullfrog Productions. The content is set to be released on platforms including Steam and Epic for PC users, with a forthcoming release announced for the anticipated Switch 2. This expansion promises to further enrich the Two Point Museum experience with creativity and nostalgia.
