David’s Bridal simplifies vendor-couple engagement

David’s Bridal has unveiled a new AI-driven platform, Pearl Connect, designed to transform vendor-couple interactions within the wedding planning industry. Launched on 16 September, this platform aims to consolidate communication and service marketing into a single interface for wedding professionals and couples actively organising their events. The platform leverages detailed information provided by couples through the retailer’s Pearl Planner, including specifics such as wedding dates, venues, styles, visions, and budgets.

Streamlining Vendor-Couple Communications

The Pearl Connect platform, which offers both a basic free version and premium subscriptions priced at $49 and $119 per month, provides vendors with valuable leads, reducing the time spent determining compatibility with couples. According to Elina Vilk, President and Chief Business Officer at David’s Bridal, the integration of Pearl Planner and Pearl Connect forms a synergistic “wedding planning flywheel” that enhances the connection between couples and vendors, facilitating business growth through improved communication and understanding of requirements.

Innovative Features for Enhanced Planning

Pearl Connect introduces a range of features, including a dedicated communication hub, self-service scheduling, and analytics functions for vendors, as well as tools that can sync tasks with external calendars like Google, Outlook, or Apple. Originally launched in 2025, Pearl Planner was developed as an AI tool to assist couples in managing wedding-related tasks, incorporating a free AI budgeting feature added earlier this year.

Commitment to a Digital-First Approach

This development aligns with David’s Bridal’s broader digital-first initiative, known as the Aisle to Algorithm strategy articulated in 2025, which seeks to support couples across all aspects of wedding planning. Pearl Connect represents a significant technological advance in simplifying the logistics of wedding preparation, which traditionally involves a complex web of vendor interactions.
