Disney has decided to maintain the price of its entry-level tickets, while increasing charges for premium add-ons as part of a strategy to encourage more significant spending at their parks from budget-conscious visitors over time.
Diverging Prices for Disneyland Visits
This pricing approach was discussed by Chief Financial Officer Hugh Johnston during a Goldman Sachs conference last month, citing sensitivity to price as a key factor. Disney aims to attract young families, hoping they will remain loyal as their incomes rise.
While Disneyland’s top-tier single-day tickets have surged by nearly 90% over the last ten years, climbing from $119 to $224, the most affordable ticket option has stood firm at $104 since 2019. Efforts to entice economically-minded visitors include new discount schemes tailored for local residents and those seeking evening visits only.
