Meta Introduces Muse Charm, a Standalone AI Device
Meta has unveiled its latest innovation, the Muse Charm, a unique AI device that operates independently of any smartphone. The announcement was made by CEO Mark Zuckerberg at the conclusion of the Meta Connect 2026 presentation. The Muse Charm resembles a large, strapless smartwatch, featuring a prominent display and a lanyard for easy portability.
The device comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor situated at the top right corner, enabling users to activate the Muse AI agent with a simple touch and voice command. While the gadget appears to have a small camera and multiple microphones on its front, Zuckerberg did not clarify the mechanism through which it connects to Meta’s servers without a phone or separate app.
Meta intends for the Muse Charm to be available for purchase “in time for the holidays in December.” However, Zuckerberg disclosed that only a limited number of units have been produced thus far, and the company is still in the process of determining the final “finishing material.” He suggested that the device may feature a translucent exterior, offering a view into its internal components, describing it as having an “elevated hacker aesthetic.”
Further details about the Muse Charm are expected to be released shortly, as confirmed by Zuckerberg during his keynote speech.
