Shoe Station appoints new chief marketing officer

Tracy Dick has taken on the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Shoe Station Group as of 3 August, reporting directly to the interim President and CEO, Cliff Sifford. This appointment follows the company’s rebranding from its former identity as Shoe Carnival Inc. earlier this summer.

Leadership and Experience

In her new capacity, Dick is charged with enhancing brand strategy and spearheading efforts in customer insights, data and analytics, loyalty programmes, and public relations. Her predecessor, Cliff Sifford, expressed confidence in her abilities, highlighting her extensive retail experience and customer-centric approach as foundational for continued growth.

Professional Background

With more than 20 years in the industry, Dick’s resume includes stints at renowned companies like PetSmart, Leslie’s, and Jack in the Box. Notably, she previously served as the senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce for Shoe Carnival for a brief period spanning late 2024 into early 2025. The company has not offered additional information regarding this short tenure.

Corporate Rebranding and Strategy

Shoe Station Group, retaining its trading presence on Nasdaq under the symbol “SHOE”, has kept a dual-banner strategy for its retail operations, maintaining both the Shoe Station and Shoe Carnival names. This decision marks a shift from an earlier plan to unify the brands under a single banner.

Company Developments

The beginning of the year saw a leadership change when former CEO Mark Worden stepped down from his role and board membership, with Sifford stepping in as interim executive while a search for a permanent CEO continues. Worden, in May 2025, had emphasized Shoe Station’s pivotal role in the company’s growth strategy, seeing it as central to future expansion.

Shoe Station Group currently has over 420 outlets across 35 states and Puerto Rico, trading with both its prominent brands, Shoe Carnival and Shoe Station.
